Good morning! Today we’re going to talk about being quietly confident. This is a unique concept sometimes in our society. Many times when you think of someone who is confident, you think of someone who is loud and brash and likes to start fights. And, that is a type of confidence and there are times that type of confidence is needed, but yet what the scriptures talk about to us, both in the Old Testament and in the New, is being so confident in God’s strength in our lives, that we can about life quietly and peacefully. Just knowing God’s going to be there. Even so, in movies they’re always having fight scenes, and sometimes you have the guy with the big old guns going around and stuff and then you have other times you have this quiet little oriental guy, who doesn’t say a word, and just waits and when nobody is looking he goes pow! And that is the end of the fight. I think our Christian walk is more like that, then a guy walking around with eighteen guns and three knives (growling). It is more like: you pray, you wait your time, and when God says move, you move. It is a lot more of that. There we we go. So, let’s read; let’s start in Psalm 118…
