Ephesians 1:17-23. Exceeding greatness of power in Christ.
Three reasons for the power in the name of Jesus Christ:
- Jesus inherited a more excellent name than any other in heaven and in earth: he was the only begotten of the Father. Heb. 1:4,5. Romans 8:17 – Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.
- God gave Jesus a name which is above every name. Philippians 2:9,10.
- Jesus acquired for himself a name above every name. Ephesians 4:8. Col. 2:15.
The power which Jesus acquired is the legal right of every born-again believer. But for a believer to manifest Christ’s power in his life, he must renew his mind according to the Word of God. Rom. 12:2.
Matthew 1:21. Jesus: savior.
Acts 4:12. No salvation in any other.
Acts 2:38. In the name of Jesus Christ, gift of holy spirit.
John 14:13, 14. Whatsoever you shall ask in my name.
Acts 3:6,7. Rise up and walk. Acts 3:16.
Acts 16:16-18. Spirit cast out.
Colossians 3:17. Do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Ephesians 5:20. Giving thanks in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:19. All needs supplied by way of Christ Jesus.
